The Iraqi government wants us to go. The UN wants us to go. Our allies want us to go. The great majority of the American people want us to go. Bush and his nutty neocon cabal are the only ones who want us to stay. For God's sake, let's GO!

The Bush - McCain agenda is to stay in Iraq until the Iraqi oil fields are plundered, and that may take at least a hundred years.

      miser

the Cheney agenda is for Haliburton and military contractors who need wars to continue is to keep soldiers there to justify no bid contracts for KBR/ Haliburton workers so the profits from wars and loans from foreign banks to continue at high interest won't end

what happened to Iran and Iraq who both borrowed from other nations to fight each other? they went deep into debt....to banks....

they borrowed the money like we are in billions and thought oil reserves could be tapped to pay it back

Surprise! Kuwait decided to sell lower and Saddam invaded to stop this unforseen economic tragedy

Surprise! the US companies have not brought Iraq oil back on line until key Bush supporters, Hunt (billionaire contributor to Bush library) Oil just got Northern Iraq

no that doesn't look scandalous...neither did Senator Craig's bathroom antics and publicity

and Iraq puppet gov't? you mean the one we installed like Afghanistan's Karzai (Oil Executive)? You mean they finally grew a fragment of a spine and said "get the hell out!"? wow....it must be election season

Remember when Bush said if the Iraqis asked us to leave, we would?

Think he'll hold true to that promise?

Not a chance! I'll bet he'll think of a way to stay their & in Office. I can't believe that I really voted for this clown"2". Thanks

We have also said ad nauseum that we were staying to show our allies that they could depend on us. If a country you have "liberated" asks you to set up a timetable to leave and you don't, can your allies depend on you?

I suppose McCain has already set up a deadline. 100 years.

Once again...Barack Obama is proven right and McCain wrong. Obama called for a timetable for withdrawal and McCain said it was surrender ("we can be there for 100 years" as far as he is concerned). McCain and Bush also said a timetabl for withdrawal amounted to surrender that will embolden the enemy. Now Iraq wants us out VIA A TIMETABLE FOR WITHDRAWAL. Suprise surprise.

For anyone of you who doesn't realize Obama has superior judgment and has been proven right time and time again, well, you can enjoy Bush's 3rd term with McCain.

            Obama has been right on:

            1. Iraq War: he opposed it and said it was a distraction from the real war in Afghanistan. He was and remains dead right.

            2. Pakistan: he said we should unilaterally go hunt al queada in the border of Pakistan rather than leave it up to Pakistan to do so. McCain and Republicans and frankly Hillary said he was naive and ridiculed him, until Bush started doing it a few months later.

            3. Afghanistan: he said we need to pull troops out of Iraq, give many a break and refocus them in Afghanistan. As we have been reading, Afghanistan is now a hell hole again with the Taliban back in full force. Obama was right again!

            4. North korea: Obama said that we should be negotiating with these evil people rather than saber rattle. Guess what: conservatives including McCain and Bush said he was an appeaser and he was naive. And guess what, they were saying that while Bush was doing the exact same thing and now he is claiming how great he is for the deal with North korea. Obama was right again.

            5. Iran: Obama said we do not have the military wherewithal to saberrattle with Iran or even attack. McCain said naive. But the top US General said absolutely we cannot engage in any war with Iran at this time, and so we need to engage in diplomacy. Obama was right again.

            6. Iraq Pullout: McCain said we need to stay there even up to 100 years. Obama said we need to pull out within 16 months, as that would give Iraq and other Arab states an incentive to stabilize the country. Everyone called him cut and run. Guess what, just today, Maliki said he wants a timetable for US troop pullout and Arab states are in agreement and responding. UAE just forgave billions in Iraqi debt.

            7. Gas Tax Holiday: It was McCain who initially proposed that gimmick. The Clinton ran with it. Obama said it was a gimmick. McCain recently admitted it was a gimmick. Obama right again.

            8. Offshore Drilling: Obama said it is another gimmick that would do nothing to help gas prices now. Guess what, McCain himself has admitted it is a gimmick and said he is suggesting it only hoping that speculators will then drive prices down by anticipating more oil production 5 years from now. Can you say gimmick?

            Vote for Change '08!

Gee, wasn't it just last week that Republicans blasted Obama for wanting to withdraw the troops as soon as possible? It'd appear though that Obama's foresight reflects Iraq's desire for America to get the phuck out and allow Iraq to handle its own damn business!!

I also like how the Bush Administration made the unilateral decision to dictate Iraq's future without even consulting the Iraqi people and their leader. Wow what level-headed, rational cooperative GOPs we must have--- bullying war-torn nations and an endless occupancy and whatnot.

            Man, Obama's a godsent!!

I guess when we ousted the dictator in Irag the image we saw on TV must have been false as the people there were thrilled at that time.  Let them run their own government - they don't have a clue on how to run a country as they have lived under a dictator for years & all we have done is try to help them & now all they do is spit in our face - wake up these people would just as soon kill you & me as anyone else!  This is just the beginning of the end!

I'm not sure the sun will rise tomorrow but I'm dead sure George W. Bush will not personally be on the GOP ticket next November. I've spoken with many of my friends and I've been invited to three dozen parties scheduled for January 20, 2009. Of course we will toast to our new President Obama and wish him the best, buy the reason for all the parties are not to celebrate the new President, but rather to slam the door on George W. Bush's ass as we kick him out. Need to make sure he doesn't steal all the White House Treasures as he makes his breakaway.
McCain will more than likely play cards with his family that day while gearing up to run for another term in Congress.

Again we see yet another session where several politician are seen with their foot in their mouth. Senator Obama has started a massive new fade among aspiring politicians to walk around with their toes touching the tonsils. Hillary is only now getting back her usual loud voice, Bush and most of his administration staff are shoeless. Most recently I've watched the news media advise many of their news subjects to remove their shoes before any interview. I personally think they should advise them to wash their feet well too.

Obama has said he plans on being a smart President, something we haven't seen in forty years.

The real question is how much money did Bush and Cheney's cronies make in the last seven and a half years during this disgraceful debacle?

It appears by this request from the president of Iraq that Bush's stubborn refusal to budge on the rollback of the war in Iraq will be WELL proven for the world to see. He''s said several times that he would begin removing troops from Iraq if the country no longer wanted them there, well, guess what???

It will be interesting to see how the White House attempts to spin this, and how the diehard War in Iraq lovers will defend it. Stay tuned for some sputtering from the war lovers....

Should never have attacked and/or occupied Iraq in the first instance.

A suggestion from Iraq to leave should be welcome news, what are you waiting for ???

If Iraq wants us to leave than they should pay us back for protecting them.  We have spent millions of US taxpayers dollars to protect these people from an insane dictator and the thanks we get is - death to Americans - are the people running this country nuts, stop helping them and make them pay us back for the money we have spent on them & then we will leave them to their own demise.  They have millions of dollars which the US has not touched, instead our own politicians use American tax dollars to help these people and then they spit in our face!  I hope Israel takes care of these people too!  Iraq is a disneyland for manics & as soon as we get rid of one insane dictator there is another one to step us & take his place - there is no winning in this situation - all the US will get from them is a kick in the pants & we are stupid enough to keep feeding them and helping them at our expense - now that is insane!
